Power is out for more than 150 Wethersfield residents and firefighters, police and crews from Eversource have responded to two areas of Old Wethersfield where wires are down.
One location is at Main Street and State Street and Main Street is closed between State Street and Wethersfield Cove, according to the fire department. Emergency crews are directing local traffic.
The other location is at State Street and Jordan Lane and State Street is closed from Avalon to Jordan.
Officials from the fire department said it might be some time before power can be restored to the area.
