Woman Accused of Repeatedly Stabbing Man at Stonington Hotel

A woman from Stonington is facing charges after police said she repeatedly stabbed a man at a hotel on Saturday night.

Police were called to America's Best Value Inn on Route 1 around 8:40 p.m.

When they arrived to the room where the incident occurred, officers said they found a man with multiple stab wounds and serious injuries. The man was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital to be treated and was later transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital, according to police.

The man was listed in stable condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Sunday, police said.

Officers said 31-year-old Cikizwa "Pamela" Nkonzombi was found at the scene and was arrested. She is facing charges including assault, breach of peace and threatening. Nkonzombi is accused of threatening a resident of the hotel after the stabbing.

She was held on $150,000 bond and is scheduled to be in court on Monday.
