Woman Broke Into Hamden Home, Assaulted Officers: Police

Hamden police arrested a woman they say broke into the home of a grandmother and grandson on Friday.

Police were called to the home on Beacon Street and found Christina Salgueiro in the third-floor apartment along with the grandmother and a 10-year-old boy who lived there.

As officers tried to arrest Salgueiro, she repeatedly punched one of the officers in the head and spat blood and saliva at them, according to police.

Salgueiro, 27, of Hamden, was charged with second-degree burglary, three counts of assault of a police officer, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening, third-degree criminal mischief and risk of injury to a minor.

She was held on $50,000 bond.
