Woman Dies after Snowmobile Crash

A Connecticut mother of two went into cardiac arrest and died after crashing her snowmobile on top of Mt. Greylock in western Massachusetts.

Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Tim Finn told WWLP-TV that the 39-year-old woman from Glastonbury was pronounced dead on arrival at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

The woman's 7-year-old daughter was riding in the same sled, but was not hurt Saturday.

Her husband and 3-year-old son were riding on a separate sled.

Park rangers, state police and Lanesboro police had to use snowmobiles to get to the four at the top of the frigid mountain nearly 3,491 feet up.

Police withheld the woman's identity and an investigation into the crash continues.
