Woman Drove Off After Hitting Pedestrians in Plainfield: Police

A driver is accused of hitting two people with a car on Norwich Road in Plainfield Tuesday.

Police said the pedestrians, a 20-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl, were on Norwich Road crossing the street at the crosswalk in front of Lathrop Road around 5:23 p.m. when a black car slowed down, then hit them. The driver of the car, described as a woman with blonde hair, stopped and asked the victims if they were OK, then drove off, according to police.

The teen was taken to Backus Emergency Care Center in Plainfield for treatment of minor injuries and has since been released.
