Neighbors Say Woman Crashed into Garage Before Death

A 31-year-old woman died from a puncture wound that she inflicted on herself last month, the medical examiner reported. A neighbor said the woman crashed into the garage of a Village Circle home in Naugatuck on Monday night, backed up and was going into it again.
Around midnight, neighbors called police and said they heard a loud bang, which seemed to come from the home where Paul Ayoub and his mother live.

Maggie Nurczyk, of Naugatuck, was looking out the window to see what was going on when she heard the car crash into the garage. Then, Nurczyk said, she saw the woman put the car into reverse.

“She was kind of backing out and going into the garage again,” Nurczyk said.

Michael Nurczyk, of Naugatuck, said Paul called and was very shaken up on the phone and asked him to pray for the woman to be OK.

Neighbors say the woman who died was dating Paul Ayoub, the owner of the home.

The woman, who has been identified as Julie Swoszoski, sustained serious injuries and she was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead Tuesday morning. She had multiple stab wounds to her neck and chest. Her death was ruled a suicide.
