The Woodland School in East Hartford was on lockdown on Tuesday afternoon and police responded to the school, according to the superintendent’s office and police dispatchers.
A person who answered the phone in the superintendent’s office said the school went into lockdown at 12:30 p.m.
Shortly after 1 p.m., police said they would be leaving the scene soon.
No additional information was available.
