A write-in candidate will take the place of embattled Colebrook Democrat George Wilber on next week's ballot.
William Riiska will be the Democratic candidate for the 63rd district.
Election officials said it was too late for anyone to enter the race and denied Riiska's write-in application, but a judge overturned the ruling.
Wilber said last week that he'd resign Nov. 1 and end his re-election bid. Reports surfaced that he paid $100,000 to a woman in her 40s who claimed she was abused by Wilber when she was between 11 and 18 years old.
Wilber has denied any wrongdoing and claims he's stepping down for health reasons.
