State police say a wrong-way driver was killed in a crash on I-395 in Plainfield early Friday morning.
According to police, 54-year-old Stephen Wild, of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-395 near Exit 32.
He collided with a car traveling in the proper direction on the northbound side just after 1 a.m.
Wild was killed in the crash.
The driver of the other car and a passenger in that car suffered minor injuries, police said.
The highway was shut down for several hours. It reopened just before 7 a.m.
