J.K. Rowling Sends Care Package to Grieving Teen Cassidy Stay

Fifteen-year-old Cassidy Stay was the sole survivor of the tragic murder of her parents and four siblings in her family's suburban Houston home on July 9. At a memorial service on July 12, Stay recited her eulogy, quoting "Harry Potter" writer J.K. Rowling: "In the Prisoner of Azkaban, Dumbledore says, 'Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.'" Cassidy's words gained a lot of attention, including that of the famous author. This week, Rowling reportedly sent Stay a care package, which included a personalized letter purportedly written by fictional "Potter" headmaster, Dumbledore. Rowling's gesture has inspired a social media campaign to connect the popular author with the grieving teen, Today.com reported.
