“Clown” Snatches Girl, Drives Off

A teenage girl jumped out of a moving car to escape a possible attack at the hands of a man dressed as a clown.

Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit put out a bulletin Monday morning seeking information about the alleged attack in the city’s Cobbs Creek section of West Philadelphia that involved a man dressed in a Halloween costume.

According to police the 15-year-old girl was waiting for the trolley at 65th Street and Chester Avenue on Thursday around 6 p.m. when an unknown man got out of a dark-colored car, grabbed her and forced her into the rear of the car.

As the man drove off, the girl jumped out of the moving vehicle and ran away into Cobbs Creek Park, according to police.

The girl then called police when she got home.

Investigators described the attacker as a medium built man standing about 5-foot, 6-inches tall, who was wearing all black and a clown mask. The mans was driving a four-door, medium-sized vehicle with tinted windows.
