The suspect in the fatal shooting of a Kentucky state trooper was shot and killed early Monday after a massive manhunt, NBC News reported.
Police said 25-year-old Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks of Missouri was shot by police Monday morning when he refused to drop his weapon. He died at a hospital.
Authorities said Johnson-Shanks shot and killed Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder after a nine-mile pursuit late Sunday.
