Family Holds No Ill Will After Car Crashes Into Home

National City Police have nabbed two suspects after their car, pursued by police, crashed into a Paradise Hills home in San Diego.

The chase started when the police noticed the car was stolen, according to officials. They tried to pull the suspects over, but they sped away. The suspects were driving 60 to 70 miles an hour through the neighborhood just before the crash. The driver turned the corner from Doriana Street onto Alta View when they crashed into the house's garage just after 4 pm.

"It was really like the movies," said homeowner Richard Cano.

After the crash the two suspects ran from the car. With the help of a police dog officers found the suspects. Both have been taken into custody.

The family, which lives in the home on the 2000 block of Alta View Drive, had just moved in the week before, and say they were planning a get-together with dozens of friends and family members just a few hours after the crash happened.

"We just got the garage door put in about three days ago," Cano told NBC7. "And before you know it we heard the big bang on the house."

The Cano's still hosted their house party Sunday night and have been given the go ahead to stay in their home.
