Adele Leads American Music Awards Pack with 4 Nods

Adele just keeps "Rolling in the Deep."

The British songbird continues her U.S. domination by snapping up a pack-leading four American Music Award nominations. The 23 year-old is up for Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album (for "21"), Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist, and, of course, Artist of the Year.

Trailing behind Adele with three nods each in various categories are Katy Perry, Lady Gaga (both of whom will be competing with Adele for Favorite Female Artist), Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Li'l Wayne.

The AMA nominees are chosen based on a number of factors, including sales figures, chart standings, and even social media buzz. The winners are decided by online fan voting.

Last year's big winner, Justin Bieber, secured just one nomination this time around, for Favorite Male Artist. He'll be competing with Bruno Mars and Pitbull.

The AMAs will be handed out November 20th. For a full list of nominees, check out the Official Site.
