Alison Sweeney Is Leaving ‘The Biggest Loser'

"The Biggest Loser" is about to be on the hunt for a new host.

Alison Sweeney is exiting the show ahead of its 17th season, E! News has confirmed.

"The Days of Our Lives" star began hosting the NBC reality series in 2007, when she took over from former host Caroline Rhea in season four and went on to host 13 seasons of inspiring transformations.

Last season, Sweeney was joined on the show by trainers Bob Harper, Dolvett Quince, Jessie Pavelka, and Jennifer Widerstrom, after the departure of Jillian Michaels.

Access Hollywood originally reported the news, along with a statement from NBC, which reads: "After an incredible run together, Alison Sweeney will not be returning as host of 'The Biggest Loser' next season."

In 2014, Sweeney ended her run on "Days of our Lives" after twenty-one years as Sami Brady/Hernandez/DiMera to focus more on her family and her hosting duties on "The Biggest Loser." At the time, she opened up to Health magazine about the decision.

"This is the first really big change I've had in a long time," she said. "Change makes me a little nervous."

The mother of two is currently starring in two TV movies for the Hallmark Channel, "Love on the Air" and "Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Murder Mystery."

The Biggest Loser will return to NBC sometime this fall.

(E! and NBC are both in the NBCUniversal family.)
