Bening and Cholodenko Are All Right With Golden Globe Noms

After a glittery morning filled with a quartet of Golden Globe nominations, the team from “The Kids Are All Right” are feeling pretty all right themselves.

PopcornBiz heard from stars Annette Bening and Julianne Moore and writer-director Lisa Cholodenko on the glittery morning their movie snared four film big nominations, including Bening and co-star Julianne Moore both getting nods in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, Cholodenko and Stuart Blumberg for Best Screenplay and the film itself for Best Picture – Comedy or Musical.

"Seeing our movie getting so much recognition makes me proud,” says Bening. “And being nominated alongside Julianne Moore is the best!"

"I was busy putting towels in the dryer this morning and didn't hear my phone ring," says Moore, "so when my friend called a little later I was pretty sure she was consoling me. I am so thrilled to be nominated!"

“I'm so grateful that the Hollywood Foreign Press has recognized ‘The Kids Are All Right’ with four Golden Globe nominations, including Best Picture and for both Julianne Moore and Annette Bening's phenomenal performances,” says Cholodenko. “I'm also thrilled to be able to share a screenwriting nomination with Stuart Blumberg, after years of writing – and rewriting! – this movie together.”
