Climate change is threatening the existence of 30 of the most treasured American landmarks, a scientific group reported Tuesday. Due to rising ocean levels, extreme flooding, and increasing wildfires, the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), a nonprofit alliance of more than 400,000 biologists, physicists and other citizens, has concluded that memorials including the Statue of Liberty in New York are under siege.
