Condoleezza Rice Plays Along With Alec Baldwin Romance

What has Condoleezza Rice been doing since leaving the White House?

Besides hiding out as a professor of a political economy in the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the former secretary of state under George W. Bush has been sparking up a romance with actor Alec Baldwin -- at least his on TV persona.

Rice will make a guest appearance on NBC's "30 Rock" this season as the ex-girlfriend of Baldwin's right-leaning character Jack Donaghy.

A pregnant Tina Fey announced that Rice would be the "high-ranking African-American member of the Bush administration" that Donaghy said he dated in the first season of the comedy show.

Rice, whose real private life has been a curious mystery for many for a long time, confirmed the appearance through her chief of staff.

In fact, she has already filmed the episode. The season finale of "30 Rock" airs May 20, meaning Rice will be on the show within the next month.

"30 Rock" airs Thursdays on NBC.
