Dropkick Murphys' Tour Bus Involved in Fatal Crash

The Boston-based band's bus struck and killed a man in Texas in what police suspect to be a suicide, the band announced on Facebook.

Dropkick Murphys' tour bus fatally struck a man north of Austin, Texas, the band announced Sunday on its Facebook page.

"We were involved in a tragic and fatal accident when a pedestrian suddenly ran onto the highway in front of our tour bus," the band wrote. "Police suspect a suicide."

The band addressed fans in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a show was scheduled on Sunday. According to the Dropkick Murphys, the driver was shaken up and the bus was too damaged to reach the venue.

"As much as it pains us to miss a show and we truly apologize for it, we'd like to stop and acknowledge that a man has lost his life," read the post. "Please keep him and any family he might have in your prayers."

The band added that any tickets purchased for the show would be refunded.
