A former surgeon has been arrested and authorities are searching for a woman after officials say a South Florida man was left with a severely deformed penis after a series of illegal procedures.
Mark David Schreiber was arrested by the Broward Sheriff's Office Friday for unlicensed practice of health care, authorities said.
Schreiber, 60, was booked into jail and remained behind bars without bond Monday. It was unknown if he's hired an attorney.

Authorities are still searching for 48-year-old Nery Carvajal in connection with the case and a warrant has been issued for her arrest, documents showed.
Schreiber was arrested following a joint investigation by the Florida Department of Health, Miami-Dade Police, Hialeah Police, BSO and Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office.
The victim and Carvajal first met in late 2012 and early 2013, according to the arrest warrant. The victim told police Carvajal would frequent the salon he worked at to sell her injectable filler and cosmetic facial services.
Eventually the man went to her Hialeah warehouse location and paid Carvajal for several procedures including gluteal injections, chin injections, and he even took his mother to get permanent makeup done by Carvajal, the warrant said.
Carvajal, like Schreiber, is not licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida, the warrant said.
In March 2014, the victim decided to go forward with a penis enlargement procedure, and Carvajal told the victim she would inject a filler into his penis, the report said. He paid $1,500 for this procedure.
About one hour after the injections, the victim described his penis as appearing deformed. Over the course of the next year, the victim went to see Carvajal so she could extract the filler, however, the victim told authorities Carvajal had him meet with Schreiber, who was introduced as Dr Mark, the warrant said.
The report said the victim paid Schreiber $1,000 to surgically remove the filler from his penis and that after he awoke from sedation he saw blood-soaked bandages. The victim also told detectives Schrieber said what he was experiencing was normal.
The man alleges his penis is now severely deformed, he has no sensation during urination, and is unable to engage in sexual relations, the warrant said.
Schreiber was sentenced in 2008 to two years in prison on similar charges of practicing without a license.
