Kerry to Iraq: We're Committed to Thwarting Sunni Militants

Secretary of State John Kerry told Iraq's Foreign Minister on Saturday that the U.S. is committed to helping stop extremist Sunni forces from taking hold in Iraq, NBC News reported. The insurgents, who are racing to Baghdad, have already taken several cities and towns in the country. Kerry said that Iraqi leaders would have to put aside their differences and work together for the coordinated effort to work. He also said he's reaching out to Iraq's neighbors to warn them of the threat that ISIS militants pose to the region.
