Kim Jong Un to Make 1st Foreign Trip To Russia

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will make his first foreign visit to Russia in May, in celebration of the Soviet victory over Germany in World War II, Reuters reported. Kim, who took power in 2011 after the death of his father Kim Jong Il, is likely to visit China following the trip to Russia. "About 20 state leaders have confirmed their attendance, and the North Korean leader is among them," South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted a Kremlin spokesman as saying. Russia marks the victory anniversary annually on May 9. The Russia trip is also an opportunity for both countries to boost ties.
