Video shot from the bus shows the suspect banging on the hood and yelling, "Open the door!"

A 68-year-old man is facing several charges after police said he climbed onto the front of a school bus, clinging to the hood as the bus drove down the road.

Leverne Doran was driving in Parkville, Maryland, Thursday afternoon when he said someone on the bus hit his car with a bottle, WBAL reported

Police said  Doran wanted the bus driver to open the door, so he could confront whoever threw the bottle.

But the driver, concerned for the safety of the students, refused.

Doran climbed onto the front of the bus, clinging to the hood and mirror as the driver pulled away, police say.

Doran has been charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing a school bus driver, WBAL reported. A police spokeswoman told WBAL that investigators are looking into Doran's claim that something was thrown out of the bus' window.
