Melissa Rauch Predicts ‘Big Bang' Wedding Bells

According to the Melissa Rauch Postulation, there may be a wedding at the end of the current season of “The Big Bang Theory.”

Rauch – who plays soft-spoken Bernadette Rostenkowski, the fiancé of harried mama’s boy Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) – says she expects the frequently star-crossed couple may indeed find their way to the altar by the finale – but not without a “Bang” or a bumps along the way.

“We're still engaged, so there's a lot of wedding planning to be had,” she tells PopcornBiz. “It's kind of trickling in right now. I hear that the whole season's going to be filled with wedding planning, kind of leading up to a possible wedding at the end, so right now we're dealing with the living situation: what we're going to do when we actually do get married. Howard's going to move out of his mother's house! And that will actually come into play – I'm definitely marrying his mother if I do marry him.”

And will Howard’s best friend Raj (Kunal Nayyar), who's nurtured a long-smoldering secret crush on Bernadette, become an obstacle as well? “Things do come out into the open, some of the stuff that happened with Raj and Bernadette this season, and that kind of gets taken care of,” promises Rauch.

The actress says she was thrilled last season when, after primarily focusing on the show’s central geek quartet of men, the series developed an equally funny dynamic between “Theory’s” ladies, Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Bernadette.

“The three of us just have a blast together,” says Rauch. “We're going to have lots more girls' nights. We actually shot one this week where we're giving each other paraffin wax treatments. So it kind of feels like just a girls' night at work in general, just because we're getting to hang out doing spa treatments on each other at work. It's not a bad job!”
