Men Rescued After 9 Hours on Sinking Boat Near Everglades National Park: Coast Guard

Two men were rescued by the Coast Guard after their boat had been sinking for nine hours near Everglades National Park Tuesday morning.

A Coast Guard boat and helicopter found the two men knee deep in water aboard their partially submerged sailboat about 10 miles west of Flamingo Marina, officials said.

The men said the boat had started taking on water around midnight and they thought they could handle it. Neither man was injured.
