Brad Pitt Soothes Suicidal Actor at “Moneyball” Screening: Report

“Look, man, life is up and down, it's a vicious cycle, but you have to go through it and deal with that," Pitt reportedly tells a distraught fan

Turns out actor Brad Pitt can play a crisis counselor in real life.

At a “Moneyball” screening Sunday in Culver City, Calif., Pitt reportedly helped console a self-described suicidal fan in front of a crowd of hundreds.

During the Q&A portion of the event featuring Pitt and co-star Jonah Hill, the 30-something man said he was a struggling actor who moments earlier was experiencing suicidal thoughts in his car. “Moneyball” gave him a “renewed sense of hope,” the man said, according to UsMagazine.com.

A witness at the event told Us that Pitt responded by saying: “Look, man, life is up and down, it's a vicious cycle, but you have to go through it and deal with that."

Pitt reportedly went on to say, "You can be down, but then you come back up again, and every failure can lead to success."

Another witness to the exchange told Us Weekly that Pitt stopped to talk personally with the man on his way out of the theater.

Bravo, Brad.
