Kate Gosselin Finally Cut from “Dancing”

Kate Gosselin says goodbye to reality show

Kate Gosselin will "dance" no more.

The reality-TV mother of eight was given the axe on ABC hit "Dancing With the Stars" Tuesday night after weeks of speculation the low-scoring tabloid favorite would go home -- only to be saved from elimination.

Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani had the lowest score after Monday's show, earning a meager 15 out of 20 for their dead-in-the-water foxtrot.

"I think Tony could have had more life out of a frock on a coathanger," judge Bruno Tonioli said of Gosselin's performance Monday, adding another comment to piles of insults about Gosselin's lifelessness on the "Dancing" floor.

A teary-eyed Gosselin said she was honored to be featured on the ABC show even if she was taking her exit cue early.

"I love everyone that I met," she said. "It was a great experience. I had a wonderful teacher" in partner Dovolani, she added.

Despite reported tensions between Gosselin and pro partner Dovolani, the dancer said his reality partner gave her "best" during the show.

"I give her all the credit for showing up, as exhausted as she was, she still showed up every day," Dovolani told Gosselin.

"You showed America that it doesn't matter how much things go against you, you still come out here and give it your best," he said.

Gosselin's exit means that seven couples are still left in contention for the "Dancing" title.

Remaining favorites include Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and Olympian Evan Lysacek, both of whom are topping judges' scores every week.
