Obama: “No Way” I'd Have Dumped Biden for Hillary

Reports surfaced last week, with the publication of the new book "Double Down" on the 2012 presidential race, that President Barack Obama's reelection campaign toyed with the idea of dumping Vice President Joe Biden and giving Hillary Clinton his slot on the ticket. But Obama dismissed that report in his exclusive interview with NBC News' Chuck Todd on Thursday, calling Biden "one of the best vice presidents in our history" and saying he wouldn't have entertained any such switch. "If they had asked me, I would have said there is no way that I am not running again with Joe Biden," Obama said. He also called Biden "a personal friend" as well as "one of my most important advisors," as he stuck by his decision to keep him on as veep. "I like him," Obama added. "When my back’s up against the wall, he has my back."
