Stallone, Condi, Coulter Dissed “Dancing with The Stars”

If you thought "Dancing with The Stars" put together a great field for the upcoming season, you should see the folks that said no thanks.

Jamie Lee Curtis declined in order to spend more time with her family. Facebook honcho Mark Zuckerberg, fresh off being named the most influential person in the information age by Vanity Fair, was apparently too busy to cut a rug on TV. Ditto for "Expendables" star Sly Stallone, whose throwback action flick was a surprise summer hit.

Former Secretary of State Condi Rice and conservative pundit Ann Coulter both declined to participate, which is unfortunate, given that that former cast member and U.S. Rep. Tom "The Hammer" DeLay left a fairly low bar for members of the chattering class to vault over.

Other well-known stars who reportedly decided to keep their wallflower status were "Home Improvement's" Tim Allen, actress Suzanne Somers, Erin Brockovich and business mogul Richard Branson.

"DWTS" executive producer Conrad Green seemed undeterred by the big names that got away.

"We've approached a lot of people over the years," he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, which first publicized the list. "People say no for a variety of reasons. Some people like the show but think they suck at dancing. It's a lot easier to say no than it is to say yes."

The hit ABC show announced Monday that the upcoming season's lineup will consist of singers Michael Bolton and Brandy, “Dirty Dancing” actress Jennifer Grey, comedienne Margaret Cho, ex-“Baywatch” hunk David Hasselhoff, Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol, “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, ex-Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner, former-“The Hills” star Audrina Patridge, ex-Laker Rick Fox, “Brady Bunch” mom Florence Henderson and “That’s So Raven” actor Kyle Massey.
