Inmate in Mo. Executed After Supreme Court Refuses Stay

Missouri inmate Earl Ringo Jr. was executed early Wednesday by lethal injection, the state's Department of Corrections said. Ringo was the eighth person to be put to death in Missouri this year and the 10th since November. The U.S. Supreme Court late Tuesday refused to halt Ringo's execution for killing two people during a 1998 restaurant robbery.
