Ryanair Boss Proposes Porn on Planes

Gambling, too

An Irish airline magnate is considering offering porn to his passengers.

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary is mulling a host of web-based offerings to flyers via an app, including gambling and even pornographic movies. His model is the pay TV services hotels offer guests.

O'Leary said he hopes to launch an in-flight web offer that mimics hotel room pay-TV services.

"I'm not talking about having it on screens on the back of seats for everyone to see," O'Leary told The Sun. "It would be on handheld devices. Passengers would be able to log into a Ryanair app using their iPads or smartphones."

But porn on a plane?

"Hotels around the world have it, so why wouldn't we?" he said.

Getting broadband on flights is an expensive proposition, but O'Leary has found innovative ways to cut costs in the past. He once proposed having only one toilet per plane and charging passengers to use it.
