The children of fallen NYPD officers have received a heartwarming gift just in time for the holidays -- stuffed bears made from the uniforms of their loved ones.

Thanks to the efforts of a 14-year-old girl, several families received the special bears in an emotional event Friday.

The event was attended by the families of NYPD officers Randolph Holder, Michael Williams and Miosotis Familia.

NYPD officer Randolph Holder was gunned down in the line of duty Oct. 20, 2015, during a police pursuit on an FDR overpass.

NYPD officer Michael Williams, 25, died when the van he was riding in hit a concrete barrier on a Bronx expressway in 2014.

And 48-year-old NYPD officer Miosotis Familia, a mother of three and 12-year department veteran, was shot in the head while sitting in her mobile command unit in July.

The bears are created by non-profit organization "Blue Line Bears," the brainchild of Megan O’Grady, whose dad is a police officer in Florida.

The goal is to keep the fallen officer's memories alive, especially for many kids who may have been too young to remember them, O'Grady said.

"There's no changing what happened to these families, but I can always try to make it better. So that's why I do it," she said.

To date, "Blue Line Bears" has delivered 142 custom, hand-sewn bears to police departments across the country, purely through the power of donations.
