The Pentagon maintains a contingency plan for a zombie apocalypse, according to a Foreign Policy magazine report. The disaster preparation document, which is called "CONOP 8888," was developed as a training tool for commanders, who are asked to create a blueprint to protect the living from hordes of the undead. The Defense Department told Foreign Policy that the document is part of "fictional contingency planning guidance" and that it is "not a U.S. Strategic Command plan."
