This is Your Brain on a Cell Phone

Cell phone conversations do more than annoy everyone in the talkers' vicinity, they affect brain activity, according to a new study. This report, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, is the latest to draw a link between mobile phones and brain activity, though it stopped short of saying the effect is negative. Dr. Keith Black of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, told the LA Times it's possible the effects could even be positive. Last year, the National Cancer Institute cited studies that said the RF radiation emitted by cell phones is too low for "tissue heating" and said there is no evidence to date that the ubiquitous devices cause cancer.
