Lawyers for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are trying to trim prosecutors' death penalty arguments against the Boston Marathon bombing suspect, NBC News reported. In a court filing, Tsarnaev's defense argued that prosecutors already allege that Tsarnaev went through with the bombing after substantial planning. Thus, listing his decision to bomb the marathon as an "aggravating factor" is duplicative, according to his lawyers, because it's essentially "two different ways of describing the same thing." Prosecutors have listed several "aggravating factors" in their decision to seek the death penalty.
