Under Pressure: Obama Weighs Options on Next Move with Russia

President Barack Obama has already frozen the assets of nearly a dozen allies of Russian President Vladimir Putin, but some in Washington think the White House hasn't done enough, NBC News reported. President Putin increased tensions Tuesday, delivering a fiery speech in which he criticized Western powers for attacking Russia, saying his country is "always being cornered" and that the U.S. and its allies have been "rude, irresponsible and unprofessional" throughout the crisis in Ukraine. President Obama has a number of options left to show critics in Washington that Putin's moves in Crimea won't go unpunished — among them are tougher sanctions, economic pressure and even limited military assistance.
