US Women's Water Polo Coach Leaves Team After Brother Dies

Adam Krikorian plans to return to the Olympic games before the team's opener Tuesday

U.S. women's water polo coach Adam Krikorian has left the team to be with his family after one of his two older brothers died.

A team spokesman says he plans to return Monday. The U.S. plays Spain in its Olympic opener Tuesday.

Blake Krikorian died at 48 on Wednesday in the Bay Area. USA Water Polo had no further details.

Blake Krikorian was a Silicon Valley entrepreneur who created Slingbox with his brother Jason.

Adam Krikorian coached the U.S. to its first Olympic gold medal in women's water polo at the London Games. The team is favored to win again in Rio de Janeiro.
