St. Nick Trick: US Post Office Lets Kids Get Replies Mailed From Santa

The letters kids get from Santa will be postmarked from Santa at the North Pole

Want to give your kids a little extra Christmas magic this year?

Now you can have a reply sent with a postmark from the North Pole to their letter to Santa Claus, through the U.S. Postal Service's Letters From Santa program.

Here's how it works: Kids write their letter to Santa and put it in an envelope, which they can address to Santa Claus at the North Pole. A parent opens the letter and writes a personalized response — the USPS recommends writing it on the back — mentioning their accomplishments from the year like good grades or community service participation.

They put that letter in another envelope and address it to the child, making sure to put the return address as "Santa, North Pole" and adding a first-class mail stamp.

That goes into a larger envelope (the Post Office recommends priority mail flat rate) and send that to:

Keep in mind that it all needs to make it to Anchorage by Dec. 15 to be back in time for Christmas.
