One day before the South Carolina Primary, presidential candidate Mitt Romney finished first in the Connecticut Republican Party Straw Poll.
Romney came in with 29% of the vote.
Voting began on January 5 and finished Friday evening.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich finished a close second at 28%.
Texas Congressman Ron Paul came in at 26%.
Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum came in fourth with 11%.
