Dems Become Veto-Proof in State House

Connecticut Democrats now now have enough General Assembly seats to override any vetoes by Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell.

According to the unofficial results after Tuesday's election, Dems held a veto-proof 112-38 majority in the House and 24-12 majority in the Senate. Only one vote was needed to have a two-thirds majority in the Senate.
