Rep. Rosa DeLauro has easily won another term in Congress.
The call was based on an analysis of voter interviews, conducted for The AP by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International.
DeLauro is the co-chair of the House Democratic Steering Committee and a vocal advocate for traditional Democratic issues, such as expanding health insurance for the poor and raising the minimum wage.
She is an ovarian cancer survivor and has worked to steer more federal funding into cancer research. She also has pushed for longer hospital stays for women who have breast cancer surgery.
