There is a sigh of relief throughout New England as tight end Rob Gronkowski made his first appearance on the Patriots practice field on Saturday, following his exit from the AFC Championship game with a head injury last week.

Gronk was undergoing NFL concussion protocol since the vicious hit and had not appeared at practice until today.

Also back at Saturday's practice following a concussion was defensive end Deatrich Wise.

ESPN's Mike Reiss reported earlier this week that Gronk had been driving himself to and from Gillette stadium since his injury, while not participating in practice on the field due to the concussion protocol.

The move comes just 8 days before Super Bowl Sunday in Minneapolis against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 4.
