Alyssa Naeher grew up in Seymour and was a two-time Parade All-American while playing youth soccer in Connecticut.
She went on to become a standout goalkeeper at Penn State before playing professional soccer with the Boston Breakers. In 2015, she was traded to the Chicago Red Stars.
Alyssa has played on many national youth teams throughout her career, but made her first appearance with the U.S. Women's National Team in December 2014 with a shutout of Argentina.
Alyssa has a twin sister, Amanda.
