Former NFL star Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty today to lesser charges of sexual misconduct and soliciting a prostitute during a court date today, sources said.
The 51-year-old ex-linebacker will get no jail time following his plea Thursday. He must register as a sex offender.
Taylor, known as LT, was fighting a third-degree rape charge for allegedly paying $300 for sex with a 16-year-old Bronx runaway at a Rockland County hotel last May.
He had previously rejected a plea bargain that would send him to prison for six months and a trial date was nearing.
Rockland County prosecutor Arthur Ferraro said last month that the trial could start in January.
Taylor led the New York Giants to Super Bowl titles in 1987 and 1991.
