UConn has a new offensive coordinator. Joe Moorhead is leaving the same position with the University of Akron Zips to work for the Huskies.
Moorhead will serve as UConn's quarterbacks coach. He takes over from Rob Ambrose, who left Connecticut to become head coach at his alma matter, Towson University.
Moorhead, a former quarterback at Fordham University, was an assistant at Akron for five seasons. He also served for four years as an assistant coach at Georgetown.
