Jacob Pebley brought home a slew of medals from the World University Games: In 2013, he captured three bronzes in the 100m and 200m backstroke plus the 4x100m medley relay; in 2015 he won gold in the 200m backstroke and earned a silver in the 4x100m medley relay. Pebley qualified to swim the 200m backstroke at the 2016 Rio Olympics by finishing second at the U.S. Trials behind University of California, Berkeley teammate and friend Ryan Murphy.
