Local Shirt Maker Is Ready for Super Bowl

The AFC champs shirts are already rolling out the door.

As much of Connecticut celebrates the Patriots and Giants clinching their conferences and advancing to the Super Bowl on Feb. 5, Ted Zuse and his team are working frantically.

Zuse Inc., based in Guilford, prints official New England Patriots gear and it has been working to get shirts, hot off the presses, to shops for eager fans.

“We've been running (at) a rate of 1,000 shirts an hour,” Zuse said. “It goes out to the major retailers, Bob’s Stores, (JC) Penney, Sports Authority.”

Football alliances are divided in Connecticut and many fans are already grabbing conference win gear and looking forward to another matchup between the teams that met in the Super Bowl four years ago.

New England went into that Super Bowl undefeated, but the Giants won the Big Game.

This year, Patriots fans want revenge.

“I think the Giants are going to give them a good show, but I think Brady is going to be on top of his game and I think Brady is going to shut them down,” Jim Stanley, of North Haven, said.

Giants fans feel otherwise.

“I’m an Eli Manning fan and I’m a New York Giants fan, been that for 10 years. The Patriots ain’t got a chance,” Clinton Wiley, of New Haven, said.
