Reid Priddy joined the U.S. men’s national team in 2000 and made his Olympic debut at the 2004 Athens Games.

The veteran player competed again at the 2008 Beijing Games where the U.S. men won gold, and at the London Games where the U.S. placed fifth. In Beijing, the skilled outside hitter’s 112 points earned him a fourth place position among all scorers and second place among U.S. scorers.

Priddy fell in love with the sport in a summer school PE class after his family moved to Florida from his hometown of Richmond, Virginia. After those elementary school days, his family moved to Arizona where he competed in the state’s first year of varsity volleyball. He went on to play professional volleyball for Greece, Russia, Turkey and Italy.
