Terrell Suggs Guarantees He'll Play Against Steelers

Sunday's AFC Championship game between the Ravens and the Steelers will likely be won by the team that can put the most healthy players on the field. Both clubs are struggling through injuries to some of their key players, but it looks like Baltimore may have one less injury to worry about if Terrell Suggs gets his way.

Suggs is one of the many stars on the defensive side of the ball for the ravens, and the All-Pro linebacker pretty much guaranteed that he'll play in Sunday's showdown with the Steelers. Even if his coach isn't quite as certain.

John Harbaugh said that Suggs had an MRI on the shoulder that he injured in the team's win over the Titans, and wasn't ready to declare his player a go yet for the big game this weekend.

"I'm not going to sit here and say it's positive, or we're happy about it," Harbaugh said. "We'll just see how it goes. It's going to be close. He's going to work real hard to try to get back. That's all we know."

Considering the fact that Suggs has a consecutive game streak going at 96, and has never missed a game in his six NFL seasons, he was understandably a little more convincing when discussing his status.

"Check my track record, I don't miss games," Suggs said after the game. "The only way I wouldn't be there is if I didn't have air in my lungs. I'm playing. It's nothing. What did I tell y'all? I don't even feel it now."

Um, Coach? Meet Terrell Suggs. You two may want to talk once in a while. You know, just so everyone's on the same page.
