Olympic Viewing Guide – Men's 100M Final

The major U.S. Olympic trials are under way through July 2 in preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Live coverage of many events can be found on the NBC Sports Network, and selected videos will appear on NBCSports.com. Here's what you should watch today:

The event: Diving: men's 3m springboard and women's 10m platform (finals).

When: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET, NBC

Where: Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.

Ones to watch: Brittany Viola and Katie Bell currently lead the competition heading into today's 10m platform finals. "Something about this competition just gets your heart pumping," Viola told USA Diving following the semifinals. "I'm going to bring the same focus and enjoyment into the finals." Bell has struggled in the preliminaries but returned to the semifinals with her A-game and performed consistantly throughout to climb the ranks and finish in second. "After prelims, I went home and took a nap and started my routine as a new day this evening," Bell said following the semifinals. "I didn't feel like I had to do anything special, I just needed to be relaxed."

What happens: The two divers who score the highest points in each individual event will journey to London.

The event: Track & Field: men's 100m (final) and men's and women's 400m (finals).

When: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET, NBC

Where: TrackTown USA in Eugene, Ore.

Ones to watch: Tyson Gay, the world’s second-fastest man and the American world record holder in the 100m. Gay is still recovering from hip surgery, but says he’s confident he’ll make the Olympic team. Allyson Felix skipped her high school prom becuase she was too busy training. Now a two-time Olympian she won gold in 2008 as a member of the 4 x 400 relay team and silver in the 400 m at the 2012 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea.

What happens: The top three athletes will qualify to make the Olympic team and journey to London.
